About Us

Old Town Temecula Candlelight Walking Tours is fashioned after the tours that thousands take
every year in places like Gettysburg, Atlanta, and Salem. Why just read about history when you can
walk the very streets where the history of early California took place?

Old Town Temecula Candlelight Walking Tours is owned and operated by Dale Garcia. Dale is a long
time resident of Temecula and is active in the historical community. As a docent for the Temecula
Valley Museum he gives tours to hundreds of 3rd graders every year. Dale is a member of VaRRA
(Vail Ranch Restoration Association) and the Temecula Valley Historical Society, two local history
organizations. His experience as a ‘amateur historian’ helps provide a wealth of stories about
Temecula and the surrounding area.

As a former Scout leader, Dale has over 15 years of combined story telling experience. Walk with the
‘Marshal’ back in time down the very streets that cowboys walked over a century ago. As the stories
are not bounded to scripts, the walks are fresh and entertaining.

You will hear many ‘first hand’ experiences some visitors have had while on the walks. Our tales and
legends are blended with bits of human interest and historical fact making them entertaining and
educational for all ages.
